New Photographer!

FlockPhotography is happy to announce that Matt Wilkess work is now being displayed on the site. Matt is a photographer (and doctor!) that I met at one of his gallery openings in Edinburgh. Matt shows a true vision in his ability to depict the extraordinary in the normal and the day to day, a talent that I applaud. Some of his work is displayed beneath. Coming soon - Karl Blackwell

I saw Karl's work in Spain this summer and felt compelled to contact him. I love the way that he captures colour and form. But don't take my word for it, this is what 'The Australian Newspaper' had to say:

'Karl Blackwell, a travel photographer, whose work is featured in top international travel guides including Time Out, BBC, Lonely Planet and Michelin guidebooks plus a host of glossy magazines, has probably lured more people into exploring strange lands with his evocative pictures than any contemporary.

Blackwell came to photography as a child, when travelling each summer with his family through the backblocks of Europe. He had a small camera, a limited budget and a desire to do something more than merely record his holidays.

He refuses to snap indiscriminately, although he spends his life in the world's most picturesque places, including the Seychelles and the Greek island of Santorini. The hallmarks of his pictures are vivid colour and simplicity.

He has exhibited worldwide and is based in both Paris and Andalucia.' See the Karl Blackwell Photography site>>

This blog is about the exploits of me, Tom, a photographer based in Edinburgh. I run a website called www.flockphotography.com. Over the last 5 years I have been traveling all over the place and this is the story behind the pictures. After traveling I set up the FlockPhotography site so that people can access affordable art. I have now signed other artists to help me with this pursuit.
